Here’s what has been going on in my life since the new year started -
- I recently did a shoot for my good friend Grant Harris who just switched his name to GOLDHOUSE. His old band was formerly known as Breathe Electric. Keep an eye out for Grant, he has some amazing music coming out soon.
- I was published in Alternative Press magazine last month. I had the opportunity to photograph a band by the name of, Good Luck. They reside down in the great city of Bloomington, IN. Awesome people, awesome band.
- Two of my close friends proposed last month and another buddy of mine just had his wedding last week. It’s not really my market, but I was pumped to shoot their engagements/wedding and have a small part in the next big chapter of their lives.
- For about a month now I’ve been assisting the top photographer in Fort Wayne. He has the Vera Bradley account, runs the photography show for most ad agencies in town, and does work for Volkswagen, Tyson, and several other huge companies. His studio is ridiculous, his secretary is a business guru, and needless to say I’m learning a lot. We drink lots of coffee, crack jokes on just about everything, fart way too much, and every now and then we have refreshing down to earth conversations. At this point in my life, It’s a good fit for me.
- Over the past year I’ve been working very hard on a big release. If things seem slow for me in the eyes of photography, well this is the reason why. I haven’t shown any progress over the internet on what I’m releasing and I intend it to be that way until it’s finished. I can’t say what it is just now, but I’m very passionate and proud in how far everything has come. What I can say is that I will be launching everything sometime in 2012. I want to release it tomorrow .. but there’s this thing called LIFE that gets in the way.
So I’m still in Fort Wayne, IN learning and growing, and hoping to move to Nashville, Charleston, California, Brooklyn, or Chicago some time soon.
Welp, that’s it for now. Time to go edit these wedding photos for the next bajillion hours.
Sincerely,
EP
